"Dismantling".......

...dismantled heart and you saw “you”
residing in my heart, like blood
circulating…dismantling my fears
and all you see is hope, sweeter than any thing you’ll ever taste, greater than any hope you had with them
dismantled feelings, only for you.

❝ You’ll meet her, she’s very pretty, even though sometimes she’s sad for many days at a time. You’ll see- when she smiles, you’ll love her.

❝ I need to be alone. I need to ponder my shame and my despair in seclusion; I need the sunshine and the paving stones of the streets without companions, without conversation, face to face with myself, with only the music of my heart for company.

THEORIES ABOUT THE UNIVERSE

I am trying to see things in perspective.
My dog wants a bite of my peanut butter
chocolate chip bagel. I know she cannot
have this, because chocolate makes dogs
very sick. My dog does not understand this.
She pouts and wraps herself around my leg
like a scarf and purrs and tries to convince me
to give her just a tiny bit. When I do not give in,
she eventually gives up and lays in the corner,
under the piano, drooping and sad. I hope the
universe has my best interest in mind like I have
my dogs. When I want something with my whole
being, and the universe withholds it from me,
I hope the universe thinks to herself: “Silly girl.
She thinks this is what she wants, but she
does not understand how it will hurt.”

— Theories About the Universe (Blythe Baird)

❝ I want you to promise me something. If you love someone, you tell them. Even if you’re scared that it’s not the right thing. Even if you’re scared that it’ll cause problems. Even if you’re scared that it will burn your life to the ground. You say it, and you say it loud. And then you go from there.

— Mark Sloan to Jackson Avery (Gray’s Anatomy)
